What A New Bettor Should Ask A Successful Bettor PDF Print E-mail
Sportsbook Review / Sportsbook ReviewFriday, 14 June 2013 00:00

If you are a new bettor and you have the opportunity to meet an experienced bettor you should take the opportunity to learn as much as possible about how you can be a successful bettor.

To learn how to be a successful bettor you better be willing to put any shyness that you may possess in your rearview mirror, ask the individual if they would like to get a drink and start asking some questions.

Successful people, especially bettors, do not have time to waste so here are some questions that I would recommend you ask:

First, ask the successful bettor how they decide on whom and what to bet? This seems like a simple question but the betting experts at 5 dimes and bet sports can attest to how this is actually one of the most difficult decisions to make on a daily basis.

Some individuals bet more on one bet than another when making their daily picks while others avoid such a tactic like a bad rash or an ex-girlfriend which they are sometime one and the same.

Your second question of this experienced bettor is how many teams or sporting events did you bet on per day when you first started betting? When you say this you might want to have your cell phone recording device on and be writing everything that comes out of the bettors mouth.

Successful Online Bettors Never Guarantee or Discount a Win PDF Print E-mail
Sportsbook Review / Sportsbook ReviewFriday, 17 May 2013 00:00

There are probably only two things that you will never read online from a successful online bettor.

The first statement you will likely never read on the website of a successful online bettor is “I guarantee that [name of individual or team] will win.” The second statement you will never read online from a successful online bettor is “There is absolutely no possibility that [name of individual or team] will lose.”

The aforementioned statements will likely never be read on the website of a successful bettor because those bettors who are knowledgeable about sports understand that anything can happen in a sporting event.

In 1983 the North Carolina State University men’s basketball team defeated the University of Houston in the NCAA Championship game. I am confident in stating that the only people who truly believed that team could win were the players and the coach Jim Valvano.

If one were to take the spouses of the coaches of that team and the President of North Carolina State University and attach them to a lie detector test and ask if they thought their team could win that game I would be surprised if the test indicated even one person who truly thought a win for North Carolina State was possible.

The world of sports is one of uncertainty. There are no guarantees and that is why the world of betting is so appealing to some. The bettor is trying to predict something that is actually unpredictable.

That is why a successful bettor will never guarantee a result or eliminate any possibility of any team or individual winning a sporting event.

Two Pieces Of Advice That Every Online Betting Player Should Ignore PDF Print E-mail
Sportsbook Review / Sportsbook ReviewSunday, 21 April 2013 00:00

When it comes to sports betting information online, you cannot listen to everything that you here. While the majority of information out there is beneficial and sites like the sportsbook reviews, which offer insight in to which sites are the best to use and break down the site most appropriate for what the player is looking for. Two things that every player should ignore include that there is any such thing as a guaranteed winner, and that it is impossible to lose. There is no such thing as a guaranteed winner regardless of what they tell you, and those that believe otherwise will soon find out how very much possible it is to lose.

A number of sites looking to sell information will entice the customer to buy promises of guaranteed wins in order to make money off of it. The problem is that those companies make money regardless of the outcome, so even when the guaranteed winner doesn’t win they make a profit. The problem that most players have, and it usually happens the most around the time of Kentucky Derby betting with the NBA and NHL playoffs underway, is that they think because they win one or two bets that they can’t lose. Nothing can be further from the truth, so be confident but don’t be too careless when you step up with a wager you believe is destined to be a winner, because just like in life, anything can happen.

Two Important Online Betting Tips That Every Player Should Remember PDF Print E-mail
Sportsbook Review / Sportsbook ReviewMonday, 25 March 2013 00:45

One of the most interesting aspects of online sports betting is how different of an approach players take to going about their business, and how they try and make a profit. While the casual player may go with the information they themselves get from watching and reading about sports, some professional players have spent enough time betting on sports that they rely solely on what the numbers tell them, based on spreads and odds to win games. Two smart online betting tips that every player should remember regardless of how serious they take it is that money management is the key to making a profit, and that there is no such thing as a guaranteed bet. Playing with these principles at the core of decisions will ensure that players don’t go bust, and always give them a chance to make a profit.

One of the most common misperceptions with Betonline wagering is that there is such thing as a guaranteed win. That is not true. There is always a chance that an upset can happen and something can go wrong, and that is why it is so important for players to avoid going all-in and risking more than they can lose. That said, money management is always important in terms of building a bankroll. Players should never risk more than they can afford to lose, while being able to balance their wins and loses to make a profit regardless of whether they win 65-percent of their bets or 50-percent.
